The musician’s single “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has been everywhere since its April release, making him one of the year’s biggest musical breakouts. He closed out the year with an “SNL” performance and a Thanksgiving day NFL halftime gig, and is up for six Grammys next year. Sky’s the limit.

Class Clown: Marcello Hernandez

The “SNL” comedian had the internet in an absolute chokehold for weeks thanks to his character Domingo, whose popularity translated to an appearance during a Sabrina Carpenter concert and a second “SNL” skit.

Best Couple: Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco

Gomez and Blanco rounded out 2024 by announcing their engagement, complete with Taco Bell and a marquise-shaped diamond ring. Will 2025 bring a wedding?


Life of the Party: Charli XCX

An easy title win by the queen of the Brat Summer.

Biggest Zaddy: Pedro Pascal

Pascal entered full zaddy domination thanks to the “Gladiator II” press tour, which had him earning fans right and left doing things like having a dance-off with Paul Mescal.

Rookie of the Year: Chappell Roan

Few celebrities have had as major a breakout year as Roan. It’s hard to remember that 12 months ago we didn’t know her entire album back to front.

Biggest Flirt: Sabrina Carpenter

Carpenter’s cheeky onstage antics made her 2024 tour a must-see.

Most Mysterious: Kim Yeji

The South Korean pistol shooter, who won silver at the Paris Olympics, was one of the breakouts from the games thanks to her cooler-than-cool demeanor.

Most Athletic: The New York Liberty

In the midst of the WNBA’s major year, New York’s own Liberty managed to take home the championship.

Biggest Overachiever: Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande

Erivo and Grande’s press tour for “Wicked” had them all over the world, with performances at the Met Gala and a stop at the Olympics even before things really kicked into high gear come fall. We’re holding space for them in 2025.
