Dezeen Showroom: Spanish brand Vondom has listed a selection of its outdoor furnishings on Dezeen Showroom, including those created in collaboration with designers and architects.
Vondom’s Vineyard collection was designed by architect Ramón Esteve initially to furnish his own country property.
It includes various types of sofas and tables, all of which have aluminium frames filled in with warm, honey-coloured planks of teak wood.
The pieces are all recyclable thanks to their materiality, and can be specified with optional castor wheels to increase their capacity to be moved into new settings.
The Milos outdoor collection was created by French designer Jean-Marie Massaud for Vondom, with an emphasis on rounded corners that evoke the landscapes of the Mediterranean region.
Massaud compared the collection to “a collection of rocks gently shaped by winds and waves”, which is also reflected in their neutral, earthy colourways.
Luna outdoor furniture, another design by Esteve, is made from a mixture of fibreglass and plastic.
Included in the range is seating and tables, all of which feature chunky, wide bases supporting curved upper segments.
The result of another collaboration between Vondom and Esteve, the Gatsby sun lounger takes cues from the 1920s Art Deco design movement.
Wheels allow for easy movement between locations, and a tilting head section creates a customisable lounging position.
Vondom is a Spanish brand that specialises in outdoor furniture – its catalogue includes sofas, armchairs and dining sets, some of which are created in collaboration with eminent designers.
The brand is headquartered in Valencia, Spain, and has showrooms in New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Shanghai.
