Paul Mescal Suits Up in Gucci, Jodie Turner-Smith Embraces Extravagant Draping in Issey Miyake and More From the ‘Gladiator II’ London Premiere


The cast and creative team behind the forthcoming epic “Gladiator II” hit the red carpet on Wednesday for the film’s London premiere at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square. The film’s star, Academy Award nominee Paul Mescal, was joined by cast members including Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington and Connie Nielsen, among others.

Guests favored designer looks and even turned to the runway for inspiration, as with Jodie Turner-Smith’s ensemble of choice. Ahead, see what the stars and guests at the “Gladiator II” London premiere wore on the red carpet.

Paul Mescal

Mescal suited up for the premiere of “Gladiator II” in a look courtesy of Gucci. The actor styled tailored black trousers with a coordinated black suit jacket with sharp lapels and a white, button down dress shirt with an undone, open collar. Mescal appeared in the signature Horsebit 1953 Loafer campaign for Gucci in October 2023.

The actor accessorized with a small watch by Cartier. Mescal’s grooming was provided by stylist Josh Knight. His look was curated by stylist Felicity Kay.

Jodie Turner-Smith

Turner-Smith turned to the runway for her look’s inspiration at the “Gladiator II” premiere. The actress wore a design courtesy of Issey Miyake‘s fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection, which made its runway debut during Paris Fashion Week last March.

The muted fuchsia look featured an asymmetrical hemline and fabric draping on the bodice. Turner-Smith’s hair was styled by Yasmin Amira, with makeup by Joey Choy. The actress’ look was curated by styling team Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald.

Pascal opted for a streamlined look for his attire at Wednesday’s “Gladiator II” premiere in London. The actor wore a look courtesy of Bottega Venetta’s spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection, which debuted during Milan Fashion Week last September. “The Last of Us” star’s look was curated by stylist Julie Ragolia.

Denzel Washington

Washington went classic for his attire at the “Gladiator II” premiere. The venerated two-time Oscar-winning actor wore a tailored black suit with a white button down dress shirt and black tie.

Nielsen embraced a Greek goddess aesthetic in a custom dress by Del Core. The actress wore an ice-blue gown featuring shoulder cutouts, flowing sleeves and a thigh-high slit. She accessorized with an icicle necklace from Solange Azagury-Partridge and completed the look with custom heels by Gianvito Rossi. Her ensemble was curated by stylist Moses Moreno.

King Charles III

King Charles III also attended the premiere of “Gladiator II.” The British royal wore a classic black-and-white tuxedo, complete with a pocket square and black bowtie.

“Gladiator II,” directed by Ridley Scott, takes place in the decades following the events of “Gladiator” (2000). The film follows Lucius, played by Mescal, who must look to his past to reclaim his home in Rome from the tyrannical emperors who now rule it. The film hits theaters Nov. 22.
