Nicole Kidman walked the red carpet at the 2025 National Board Review Gala dripping in pearls. At the New York event on Tuesday, she won NBR’s award for Best Actress for her role in “Babygirl,” which she referenced during her acceptance speech by chugging a glass of milk.
Kidman’s archival velvet Jean Paul Gaultier gown featured a backless silhouette. The actress accessorized with black Christian Louboutin heels and Messika jewels, including rings and drop earrings.
Stylist Jason Bolden, who also counts Cynthia Erivo and supermodel Cara Delevingne as clients, dressed Kidman for the occasion. The “Lioness” star wore her strawberry blond tresses in a low ponytail, while her makeup consisted of smoked-out black eyeliner and a barely-there lip.
Kidman also went backless at the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday in Beverly Hills. Her custom Balenciaga couture, based on a design from the label’s fall 2023 collection, was covered in crystals. She also added a vintage Omega Art Nouveau timepiece dated to the 1920s.
At the Globes, Kidman was up for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama for her role in “Babygirl.” She was nominated alongside Pamela Anderson, Tilda Swinton, Kate Winslet and Angelina Jolie, though the award went to Brazilian actress Fernanda Torres.
A24’s “Babygirl,” out now, is an erotic thriller that follows a powerful CEO (Kidman) who begins an affair with a much younger intern (Harris Dickinson).
Kidman wasn’t the only star to wear a rare watch at the ceremony: Michelle Yeoh and Jeremy Strong selected accessories from Richard Mille — both worth upward of $300,000.
