Kesha Adds Liquid Look Edge to the Dark Glamour Trend in Corset and Thigh-high Slit Skirt at 2024 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in Berlin

Kesha brought drama to the red carpet at the 2024 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in Berlin. The “Joyride” singer opted for one of the year’s most popular aesthetics, marrying the dark glamour trend with the liquid look aesthetic that has also become popular on 2024 red carpets.

For the red carpet occasion, Kesha chose a strapless corseted top and a flowing skirt in coordinated black shades. Both pieces featured crunched fabric with a shiny sheen and structural elements.

The corset top was molded to Kesha’s frame and featured scalloped detailing at the bottom, while the coordinated skirt flowed behind her with impressive volume and a thigh-high slit. She completed the ensemble with black pointed-toe heels.

Kesha’s glam also embraced the dark glamour trend. Her eye makeup included a bold black smoky eye and muted brows, softened with a blush pink lip. The singer’s hair was styled straight with a middle part.

Kesha is in good company with stars who’ve embraced the dark glamour trend this year. Recently, Cynthia Erivo paid homage to the trend with her archival look at the “Wicked” photo call in Sydney. For the occasion, Erivo channeled her “Wicked” character Elphaba in an emerald and black ensemble featuring ornate embroidery. The look debuted in Marc Jacobs’ fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection.

Other stars who have favored the dark glamours style trend in 2024 include Demi Moore, Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman.

The dark glamour aesthetic is deeply rooted in Victorian era silhouettes and Gothic sensibility. Intricate detailing and dark tones are often key elements of the look, which can appear more refined in suited looks or more edgy — as with the way Kesha opted to approach the trend.
