Kelly Rowland made a glittering entrance at the Critics Choice Association’s annual Celebration of Black Cinema & Television on Monday in Los Angeles, where she presented the Icon Award to filmmaker Tyler Perry.
Rowland sported a sequined Nadine Merabi jumpsuit featuring a halter neckline, a knotted bodice and flared pant legs. The singer added on jeweled drop earrings, stacked bracelets and a diamond necklace, wearing her dark tresses in an updo. Rowland’s makeup consisted of metallic eyeshadow, rosy blush and a brown lip.
The former member of Destiny’s Child was styled by Wilford Lenov, who also counts Jordyn Woods and and Tyra Banks as clients.
“It is my true honor to present the Icon Award to the one and only, the hardest-working man that I know with the biggest heart,” Rowland said onstage. “I love you, we love you, we honor you and respect you.”
Last week, Rowland attended Baby2Baby’s Holiday Distribution event in Los Angeles alongside Kendrick Lamar, Demi Lovato and Olivia Wilde, who handed out toys and clothing to a group of 500 local students.
Rowland nodded to one of the event’s sponsors, Frame, sporting a gray cashmere V-neck sweater and baggy blue jeans from the brand. The singer accessorized with sleek white sneakers and layered necklaces.
Rowland has volunteered with Baby2Baby, a charity that fights child poverty, for the last decade. The former member of Destiny’s Child attended their most recent gala in November, where she donned a sleeveless black velvet evening gown from Georges Chakra’s fall 2024 couture line.
