Brie Larson favored a classic silhouette for her look on the 2024 Emmy Awards red carpet on Sunday in Los Angeles. The actress is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her work in the Apple TV+ miniseries “Lessons in Chemistry,” which is set in the 1950s.
For her awards show look, Larson wore a custom dress courtesy of Chanel. The dress, inspired by the fashion house’s archives, featured a retro, tea-length silhouette with thin straps. The conical skirt featured a tiered element with a black bow at the waist.
Along the straps, neckline, bodice and first tier of the skirt were glittering embellishments intricately placed in a purposeful, intentional design. Larson accessorized her dress with glittering jewelry pieces, including earrings, a bracelet and statement ring.
Larson’s hair was styled in a flowing ponytail with a bow accessory by Bryce Scarlett. Her makeup featured a bold brow with a soft pink lip by artist Nina Park. Larson’s look for the Emmys was curated by stylist Samantha McMillen, who also styled Dakota Fanning for the awards show.
Larson has been a longtime admirer of Chanel and regularly wears pieces by the French luxury fashion house. During the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, Larson wore gowns designed by Chanel for the opening and closing ceremonies.
More recently, McMillen has styled Larson in pieces by designers and fashion houses including Oscar de la Renta, Max Mara, Prada and more. McMillen has been collaborating with the “Room” Oscar-winner on red carpet and event looks for roughly five years.
