An Imaginary Safari Proved Fertile for Dice Kayek’s Spring 2025 Collection

It was an imaginary safari that informed Dice Kayek’s unmistakable silhouettes for spring. “For 20 years, I’ve been wanting to see the migration of the animals in Africa,” said the Turkish designer, who has yet to make the journey. The understated chic of Robert Redford and Meryl Streep in “Out of Africa” was another source of inspiration.

This was the backdrop that informed her color palette for the season, with sand, tobacco and olive and white shades contrasted with vivid cobalt and sky blue. This structured, dressy lineup was pure Dice Kayek, just what keeps her customers coming back season after season.

Belted khaki dresses with short balloon sleeves were intermixed with striped shirts in silk or poplin, one of her house signatures, as well as white guipure separates. The key print of the season, a geometric pattern, was worked on a multitude of silk pieces in varying colorways to match the core of the collection.

An outsized safari jacket dress with a seam accentuating the waist was dressed up by gold buttons, while in black raw denim, contrast stitching highlighted the construction of a short dress and punctuated its shape.

Tailored pants were crafted from a silk and cotton blend, giving them the structure Kayek is known for while being lightweight enough for summer wear. Peplum-like skirt belts — another house signature — in heavy sand canvas or black denim were designed to be worn over pants, their pockets a practical alternative to carrying a purse. The label’s false shirt collars, designed to dress up a simple look or be worn over the top of one of Kayek’s shirts, were embroidered with coral pearls and starfish this season.
