Olivia Rodrigo dug into Thierry Mugler’s archives for the Variety Hitmakers Brunch on Saturday in Los Angeles. Her vintage little black halter dress came from the designer’s fall 1998 collection.
The “Guts” singer accessorized with peep-toe patent leather heels, wearing her brunette tresses in a sleek ponytail. Her makeup, meanwhile, consisted of winged eyeliner and a gradient lip.
Variety’s annual Hitmakers event honors the best artists of the year, with Charli XCX, Laufey and Lainey Wilson among this year’s honorees. Other starry attendees at the brunch included Lana Del Rey, Reba McEntire and “Bottoms” actress Rachel Sennott.
Last month, Rodrigo was announced as Lancôme’s latest global brand ambassador.
“Embracing your individuality is so important in beauty, since there are many unrealistic expectations placed on young women today,” Rodrigo said in a statement. “Lancôme is an iconic and timeless brand that promotes beauty from within, and I am honored to be a part of their family.”
Other celebrity ambassadors for the French beauty and skincare brand have included Julia Roberts, Lily Collins, Zendaya and Amanda Seyfried.
“Olivia is an incredible talent, an exceptional phenomenon,” Françoise Lehmann, Lancôme international brand president, said in an interview. “She’s a person exuding strength and authenticity. [Olivia] is a beacon for her generation. She’s inventing her own path, doesn’t fit into any molds and is inventing something new.”
Rodrigo has been known to favor vintage fashion: at the 2024 Grammy Awards in February, she sported a sequined Versace gown from their spring 1995 collection, which was originally worn by Linda Evangelista on the runway.
